Blackwater Awarded Navy SEAL/Special Ops Mentoring Contract
Moyock, NC (PRWeb) March 26, 2007 -- Blackwater USA is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the competitively bid Naval Special Warfare/Naval Special Operations Mentoring Contract, which will help prepare young men and women aspiring to join the Navy's most challenging communities.
"We are honored to be a part of this," said Blackwater President Gary Jackson. "The Navy has always held its recruits to the highest possible standards and we are very excited to play a role in continuing this tradition."
Twenty-six mentors from Blackwater who have been recruited from the Navy SEAL and Special Ops communities will be deployed throughout the United States to test, coach, and mentor candidates for the SEAL (Sea, Air, Land) and SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen) Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), Diver and Air Rescue communities.
The highest physical and mental standards are required for these warfare specialties and Blackwater welcomes the opportunity to assist the Navy in continuing to raise the bar for the quality of its recruits during the Global War on Terror.
